Why Na + Cl form ionic bonded molecule (NaCl) whereas H + Cl form covalent bonded molecule (HCl)?

Sodium and Chlorine form a ionic bond. This is because Sodium is a metal. Hydrogen forms a covalent bond because it is a nonmetal. Electronegtivity doesnt have any thing to do with that.
